Stroopwafel wants to have three months of topform. Essex Tour hasn't even started yet, but our sprinting squad is about to return from their holiday in Kenya, so it's important to plan ahead. Here is our topform schedule:
day78: Coby Witherspoon - Nederlandse Tour / GP Funen
- It will be nearly impossible for our Young American to grab a jersey here, but in the pure sprint stages he could kick some serious butt. Grasmaaijer, Van Dalen, Paschiers and two other veterans are gonna lead him out. He might pay a visit to the time trial center before signup.
day89: Menno van Dalen - World Championships / Lisbon GP
- Usually we send a breakaway squad to Worlds, but Menno has mentioned he wants to give it a good shot, just this once. A nice mix of team mates and leadouts will try to push him into top 9 and get the team a first result in this prestigious seasonal finish.
day01: Crispin Walraven - Valladolid - Leon / Los Angeles Pursuit
- This youngster from the Bahamas should start Stroopwafel's year fresh. He's still in training, but by the time season 32 has started, his sprinting qualities should be able to get him the national jersey in one sweep. He'll defend Grasmaaijer's points here (2x 2nd), quite an honor.
day14: Gerrit Grasmaaijer - Vejle-København / Norwich-London
- Now that NL Tour captaincy has been shifted to Witherspoon, Gerrit is free to try his hand at these two classics. Without topform he finished 3rd in Denmark last time, so it's fair to say there is a chance. Stroopwafel hasn't been very lucky in the English classic though, time to change that.
day16: Halvor Benjaminsen - Ronde van Limburg / Oslo Rundtur
Stepping out of Thor's shade for the first time, this young Norwegian with a great hill sprint (not done training yet) will target the races that suit him best. The first is in the team's home country, the second one in his own, so motivation will be optimal. Brøkker should just be back from recharging at this time and offers his support here.
day28: Harold Kint - Paris GP / Lérida - Barcelona
There is a chance Harold'll hit topform one week before, to offer full support to Grasmaaijer, but the main focus is the French race anyway. It's been a while since a Kint has lead our team, but loyal leadout Harold deserves to get a chance in a race that's made for his technical proficiency.
day39: Thor Brøkker - Bergen Rundtur / York - Manchester / Essex Tour
We know where this can go. This season's Essex Tour is starting soon, but with a 2nd and 1st in the important races leading up to it, only a career ending injury can spoil the fun. Rinse, repeat.
day49: Roan Eylens - Ronde van Zuid-Holland / Palm Bay - Miami
This may seem like a light dessert, but check out Roan's results and you know why this is special: the last time Eylens had a topform run, in season 26, he won both.
For emergencies, sudden change (some races might be difficult to get into due to ranking) or other surprises inbetween races, Heiðberg Bjarnleifursson is also on topform standby. Yay.

(all mentioned riders are now top form ready)
Oh yes I am: it starts on day 78 of this season and goes all the way through next season :). Although Walraven has maxed a bit early, might switch him with Bjarnleifursson.
How goes the plan? Not completely sticking to it.
Crazy!
Thanks y'all!
Nice plan... Good luck
Nice schedule. Good luck.
Really interesting and ambitious project - good luck with it!
